General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") govern all services offered by Royal Racket Tennis Academy GmbH ("RRTA" or "Academy"), including tennis lessons, training sessions, camps, events, courses, and merchandising ("Services"). Unless otherwise agreed in writing, these GTCs apply exclusively.

3. Registration

• Registration may be made via email, or via the RRTA website.
• Confirmation is provided via email or WhatsApp. Verbal agreements are non-binding unless confirmed in writing.
• RRTA reserves the right to accept or reject any registration and reserves the right to assign players to groups based on age and skill level.
• For kids and juniors (underaged players), registration is generally done and valid for the entire season.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 General

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the coach.

  • Absences due to vacation or other reasons must be notified at least 48 hours in advance.

  • RRTA may cancel a lesson or group permanently if cancellations are frequent.

  • Adult private training lessons must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations are charged in full, unless a replacement player is found.

  • During the Winter season, adult fixed private training lessons may be permanently cancelled by providing 30 calendar days’ written notice. If the player does not attend sessions during this notice period, court fees will still be charged unless a replacement is found.

  • Group lessons are prepaid before the season start, and non-refundable unless a replacement player is found.

  • If only one participant remains in a group, they may opt for a private lesson (additional fee applies) or they may cancel the session, and a replacement group lesson will be offered.

·       During the Summer season, if outdoor play is not possible due to weather conditions, RRTA will, where feasible, provide an indoor alternative at no extra cost to participants.

  • For adult players, group and fixed private lessons continue during public and school holidays, except the month of December (separate schedule applies).

  • In cases of illness or injury exceeding four (4) weeks, a medical certificate must be provided. Only court fees will be charged, unless a replacement player is found. For absences exceeding four (4) weeks, RRTA may issue a voucher.

4.2 Events and Camps

  • Cancellations for doubles events, hobby tournaments, and kids’ events must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations are charged in full unless a replacement is found.

  • Camp cancellation fees:

    • Up to 35 days before start: no fee

    • 15–34 days before start: 30% of total price

    • 5–14 days before start: 50% of total price

    • Less than 5 days or no-show: 100% of total price

4.3. Events and Camps Modifications

•     RRTA may cancel camps or events due to insufficient registrations. Prepaid fees will be refunded.

•     In cases of force majeure (e.g., weather, natural disasters, government actions, pandemic), RRTA may adjust or cancel programs. Alternatives or refunds will be offered.

Kids and Juniors (Underaged players)

The following conditions apply specifically to lessons for children and junior players:

  • RRTA’s supervision of minors is limited to the duration of the training session.

  • Parents/guardians must instruct children not to leave the premises unless accompanied and to follow coach instructions.

·       Registration is generally valid for the entire season. Once the season has commenced, fees are non-refundable. 

·       Missed private lessons may be rescheduled within the same season, subject to availability. However, no refunds will be issued for missed sessions. 

·       If a participant permanently withdraws from the program, the following refund structure applies based on the number of lessons attended: 

o   Withdrawal after attending 1 to 5 lessons: 80% of the total seasonal fee will be refunded 

o   Withdrawal after attending 6 to 14 lessons: 50% of the total seasonal fee will be refunded

6. Prices and Payment

Prices include coaching, balls, court rental, and necessary resources.

  • All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF). Foreign currency payments are converted using the Swiss National Bank exchange rate.

  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, TWINT.

  • Monthly invoicing is available for regular individual players upon agreement.

  • Group lessons, abonnements (abos), camps, and events must be prepaid.

  • Kids and Junior lessons may be paid either in full before the season begins, or through monthly instalment payments.

  • Late payments incur a CHF 20 reminder fee after 14 days. Continued non-payment may result in legal action.

7. Conduct and Exclusion

RRTA may exclude any player from training without refund if they disrupt sessions despite warnings.

10. Changes to Terms

  • RRTA may amend these GTCs, programs, or prices at any time.

  • Changes take effect upon publication on the RRTA website. Clients are advised to check regularly.

11. Liability

  • Participants must arrange their own insurance coverage.

  • Participants are responsible for their own safety and belongings.

  • RRTA accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, damages, or theft.

12. Photos and Videos

The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the Royal Racket Tennis Academy. Swiss law is exclusively applicable.

13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

  • The place of jurisdiction is RRTA’s registered office in Switzerland.

  • These GTCs are governed exclusively by Swiss law.
